Many of you may know that St. Edward is partnering with Kidventure to offer Summer Camp on our campus this summer. Kidventure has been providing some of the finest camps in Texas for over 29 years. I invite you to come experience camp this summer designed to foster fun, create lasting memories, and help build the social, emotional, and physical lives of our children.

Camp St. Edward will offer seven unique weeks of summer day camp beginning June 5, 2023.  Kidventure registers by the week so families may select one or as many weeks of camp as you want for the summer.

Your Camp Program
Discoverers (ages 3-5) will provide an active and hands-on camp experience for early childhood campers.

Explorers (entering 1st grade-5th grade) will bring the excitement, challenge, and rewards of ‘overnight camp’ in a day camp setting.

The Camp Week
Each camp week will be Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 3 PM with the option for Post Camp from 3 PM to 6 PM. Kidventure provides an active and purposeful camp curriculum that will include a variety of camp activities and events including athletics, art, team building, rock climbing, archery, field trips, and much more. Central to Kidventue’s mission is the fostering of meaningful character traits and strong values.

For a limited time, until May 15th, Kidventure is offering a special discount of $50 per week off camp fees for all St. Edward School families. Tuition is generally $320 per week; however, with the coupon, tuition drops to $270 per week! Apply the coupon code KVSTED50 at checkout.

Just as many young women discern marriage, they should also discern God's call to the religious life. Invite someone you know to do just that by attending this Dominican Sisters retreat.

The SECS "Kids on Broadway" Spring Art Showcase will also include a silent auction! The auction opens on May 7th and will close at 8:45pm on May 12th at the art showcase event.  All bidding will be done electronically, so you do not need to be present at the event to bid or win.  Please share the silent auction link with any family and friends that want to support our school.  All proceeds support the SECS Annual Fund.  Please contact Jessica Lange with any questions about the silent auction (jlange64@yahoo.com).

A proxy bid allows you to enter the maximum amount you're willing to spend with the goal of winning the item at the lowest possible price. The system will bid for you, up to your maximum proxy bid amount, as additional bids are entered on the item.  To enter a proxy bid, enter your maximum bid amount, click the Proxy Bid button, and then submit your bid. Rest assured, your maximum proxy bid amount is never exposed to anyone other than you during the online auction.

Example: An item is currently selling for $50 and you're willing to bid as high as $150. You would enter a proxy bid of $150 and allow the system to automatically bid for you until you win the item or the selling price goes higher than $150. If the selling price goes higher than your maximum proxy bid amount, you'll be outbid and someone else will be the leading bidder. You'll only owe the amount the system has bid for you if you win the item. This amount will never be higher than your maximum proxy bid amount.

The results are in for our Phill the Box Fundraiser Drive. Thank you to everyone who cleaned out your closets for our Monarchs! We collectively donated 7,328 lbs. of goods which means we raised $1,465.60.

Every 2^nd and 4^th Sunday of the month during the 9:30 am Mass, children in kinder-3^rd grade are invited to join us for a breaking open of the word in the Chapel. This liturgical experience helps the children better understand the readings and applying their importance and teachings into their daily lives.

Each Friday, St. Edward Catholic Community sends out its digital newsletter, The Crown, via email.

Not receiving The Crown? You can sign up and view past newsletters at the button below.

The preparation process is provided through the parish. Families who are parishioners at St. Edward, whose child is baptized in the Catholic Church and going into the 2^nd grade or higher are now able to register children for the sacrament preparation process focusing on Reconciliation and Eucharist. Families who are interested in their children to participate in the preparation process and to celebrate the sacrament at St. Edward who are not parishioners will need a letter of permission from their pastor at their home parish. For information and to register, please click the button below. For questions, please email Eileen Hubbard at ehubbard@saintedward.org.

We want to give our young parishioners an opportunity to build community and strengthen friendships. Junior high is hard on our young parishioners and the series aims at providing them with a safe, fun, and faith-filled environment and prepare them for the next school year. Parents with children going into the 6^th-8^th grade, please fill out the survey to help us plan. More information coming soon!

We have one more week left to accept registrations of children going into PK3-5^th grade (2023-2024). This week promises to be a blast for all involved. Adults and teens are needed to serve as crew leaders and other areas. For all the details and to register your child or as a volunteer (adults/teens), click the button below!
